From Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer to The Boxtrolls, stop motion animation has been a staple in entertainment. This revamped version of last years program introduces many new elements of stop motion. Campers will be provided with boxes of materials that they can use to create their very own film. IDEAS animators will go through the entire process of stop motion in small groups chosen by the campers based on their interests. At the end of the week the animators will present their Stop Motion Animation Films to the entire camp. All campers will receive a digital copy of their work for their creative portfolios. Let’s start stop motion!

This program focuses on teamwork, critical thinking, building and design. Lead your team to victory by out-engineering and out-building the other group. Campers are tasked with various challenges and given a set amount of materials each to compete with. Each camper will join an engineering group and compete against other campers and counselors in this one of a kind program. Can our straw bridge save the counselor from falling into the water? We will see!

    CSI INVESTIGATORS | July 24-28
Elementary my dear, Camper! Step into the shoes of a crime scene investigator at IDEAS Summer Camp. Working together as a crime scene unit, campers will take photographs, gather evidence, and search for clues. This hands on camp will inspire your young investigator to work as a team, use critical thinking skills, and solve the mystery. Remember, crime scenes can get messy, so wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty!

Fish Tank is based on the popular television show Shark Tank™. Campers experience a week filled with opportunities to expand their creative minds by developing their own business ideas. Fish Tank doesn’t stop at the idea, we encourage campers to make decisions, form teams, vote on ideas, and present their projects to top level entrepreneurs. Campers will case study various entrepreneurs then discuss and debate the patterns that emerge.

Compete in a week long Drone and Lego camp filled with challenges and excitement for all skill levels. Categories include: Air Races, Tallest build, Weighted bridge, Precision Flying, Boat Float, and lots of timed Robotics & Drone initiatives.
